Pass It On

When I saw how excited one of my students in the Bronx became as she realized how Robert Frost was "playing us" in "The Road Not Taken," I wanted to jump up and scream yes! The joy of feeling words punch through space and wake up another mind always takes me by surprise.

From New York City to California to Barcelona, I have participated in poetry readings and workshops. As Poet in Practice at a community college, I started a virtual open mic during the pandemic for students and faculty to share their voices. I have edited art books, cookbooks, poetry, prose, college essays, business materials, resumes.

As a teacher, editor, reader, workshop leader,  I love to help others get their voices heard.
